Hybrids on priest

Fished Priest for a few hours on Monday and caught a few hybrids. There was nothing huge but we did see several large hybrid/rockfish after shad. Most of the one's we caught were the smaller eating size 16 to 18 inches but when we cleaned them they were full of eggs! Is this normal? I don't normally fish for hybrids so I don't know a whole lot about them.

They have a "false spawn" in the spring but the eggs are sterile.

Do they have another one in the fall?I heard they have one in the fall.
