Caught 7, Zoom 4" lizard watermelon red on 1/16th Slider head. Water was beautiful, fishing a little slow. Couldn't find any creek minnows.
Fished from 5:30 AM to 9:30.

I fished the Harpeth near Franklin Saturday and the water was very muddy. I managed 3 sunfish and 2 bass. My buddy hooked a 20 inch plus gar and a 3 lb. drum. Definitely a mixed bag.
It looks like the water is much more clear where you were. Is the Harpeth typically still muddy 2-3 days after a big rain?
The Harpeth seems to stay kind of muddy in the stretches I fish.

Head over toward Kingston Springs or Narrows of the Harpeth.

Most of the time I've fished it in the vicinity of Hwy 100. Bass fishing is okay in that stretch, but I wouldn't call it great. Lots of catfish in the deeper holes though. It's hard to fish creek minnows around there because there are a ton of gar that will massacre any creek minnow that gets near them before the bass have a chance to bite.

I've been fishing the hwy 100 harpeth and down about 5 miles for about a week straight.(Spring break) Been down there canoe fishing and only caught 3 decent smallies about 12 inches and a few small kentuckys. Havent seen sny type of gar or catfish. Been wading it too. My friends have caught small sunfish though. You guys know a better part of the river for smallmouth that isnt a far drive?

I'd be interested as well. There is a lot of miles of Harpeth to fish.
