Screw all you guys who get to fish this Spring while I'll be spending almost all of April in Texas for a project startup haha. Just kidding, good luck, make me jealous. There's a chance I'll get to do some flats fishing for Reds and Specks once while I'm there so I'll do my best to make it happen.

Spring will be a nice break from winter while I am waiting on late summer. :)

Yeah I'm ready for spring. Don't kayak in winter so can't hit the GSP. The occasional 20+ inch Smallie will have to do until spring. This is going to be the spring of all springs for me. Having a kayak that is hands free should allow me to catch more fish. Having JDM UL rods much more sensitive than anything I have ever fished will get me a few more hook ups. So yes I'm ready for spring.

Is that even mathematically possible? :D

UH, you are allowed to wear shorts and flip flops fishing in February here in Tennessee.

I can fish during the winter, but it is so much more comfortable and I get to fish shallower. Can't wait for mid-March!

Well.....seriously it is. You come upon a bed of Gills or a nest of crappie. When you catch one you are pulled off station and then have to paddle back to your position to cast to the marker. With a pedal drive should be able to stay on station and fish at same time. My theory anyway...LOL.

Pedal drive, I call that a foot control for my Trolling motor :) I'm going to have to get out this spring and catch some crappie in my yak to help with the kayak wars, it's a long paddle.... I do think I found blue gill beds this winter. Alpha do they actually look like little upside down anthills in the bottom? This was found in a mud flat off the river channel.

Yep that's what they look like......and good luck with Kayak Wars. I thought I wanted to do it two years ago but it didn't work out for me. I fish a lot...but those guys were posting fish pics faster than I could catch them. That deal is brutal. Who all is on the team?

Shorts and flip flops on the Duck last Saturday. Probably not this weekend though.
