Had a good day, caught a dozen or so largemouth. only two over 15. one fish was well over 16 but my golden rule only goes to 16. the pic shows a 15" male beside the big female. I think she would go 4 and a half. If anybody ever wants to fish Barren, hit me up.

Good looking catch!

Sent from my Droid Bionic complete with typos and sarcasm.

there are musky below the dam in the river. some musky still roam around the cold feeder creeks, just not many caught. a close friend caught a monster two years ago.

the tournament you speak of is it the "up all nite fundraiser" ? i want to fish it but my partner is out of town.

It's a one day kayak fishing tournament held by SMACK.

Yep, it's Saturday. I'm not sure where we are launching out of, but it will be interesting. Reminds me of a tournament I fished on Guntersville about two years ago, the same day as a BFL event. I was able to get right up in some really nasty stuff and those guys in the glitter rockets were just shaking their heads.I finally found good fish on a main point in deeper water suspended on baitfish. Sitting out there with guys flying by at 60MPH+, good thing I took some Dramamine before hand. Hopefully you can find another partner.

when water patrol is out they write tickets like mad for boaters who blowby anglers with lines out. ky state law. i will slow to idle by most fisherman. just not the ones that blowed by be 5 minutes earlier.

I'm glad they patrol it well, and thank you for boating responsibily.
