http://www.aquavu.com/ They have a new color verison out that is pocket size around 300.00 and is a great tool for scouting for structure. This is very cool tool as long as the water is not super murky and have allot of algae floating in the deep summer months. I have personally used this and reconmend it. One draw back having all the cool electronics you tend to due less fishing lol :D

Guys this is one of the most under rated tool to have for finding fish! Perfect for fishing structure and cover! U can ease it down and see if fish are holdingt to it! A must for a crappie or pan fishermen! And for you bass guys, most pros have these in the boat and use it to see how big and how many fish are holding a spot! Give it a try!

We sold these at Bass Pro. That and a couple others.

Up in Michigan or where there is gin clear water they excel as is but down here in say Old Hickory I wouldn't expect a huge vision range. Always wanted to check one out on the water though.

Where have you used it Sterling? How much range could you see?

If I had to guess down here in these lakes they will be only as good as their lights that are on them.

I've used one to watch a spoon on a down rigger, very insightful...

I have used it on old hickory it works great in the winter, spring and late fall when the algae gets bad on the lake you can't see much at all only thing I recommend is that put the camera on a telecopic pole so you can turn it whatever way the structure is. Also if you use this by itself belive it or not the fish swim right up to the camera. It's awesome!

Here is a much better one, watch the video. You'll get a chuckle out of the one perch trying to eat another one more than half his size.

My friend has the black and white camera they have at bps. He uses it like you said sometimes to verify what he's seeing on the depthfinder.
