Tim's Ford 12-01-2011

Terry Hicks (pictured) and I met at Holiday Marina on Tim's this morning around 9:00am. Air temp was 31 degrees and the water temp was just about like it was yesterday in the mid 50's. We decided to only throw tuffy's today and that was a good choice but we (I) blew several of our opportunities. The fish above was our best "that we put in the boat" We lost 6 big fish (I lost 4 of the 6) and all close to the boat . My problem was a reel that gave me fits today that I thought about leaving in the bottom of Tim's. I won't be using it again, it's headed back for a refund. You don't get much for $100.00 these days. We used 6lb Test Clear Blue Sufix Pro Mix Mono www.sufix.com (http://www.sufix.com/) and #6 VMC Circle Hooks www.vmchooks.com (http://www.vmchooks.com/) a small split shot and the tuffy. You can't get any easier than that. The minnow bite will be on all winter, it's a fun relaxing way to spend your day on our middle Tennessee waters. More next week Lord willing. Terry is a very good friend-a good fisherman and a lot of fun to be in the boat with. Rick McFerrin

I'm jealous. Those are great fish. Sounds like all had a good time.

Nice fish Rick.

The water doesn't look all that bad considering the rain we had.

Thank You.....They were good fish....but if I hadn't had a malfunction day it would have been awsome.............water is in good shape in the middle part of the lake where we concentrated on yesterday....more color up in the Winchester end.................Rick
