Sounds funny right.

But, in 1970 they stocked 10,000 into the lake.

They stocked them in Watauga in 1964



I stumbled on this site showing Nonindigigenous Aquatic Species for the nation. It can be broke down by state. It is part of USGS Gov sites.

Travis, I was fishing that area of Center Hill a lot at the time.

Jones Fork is the first branch to the left as you start up Indian Creek.

The fisheries folks I talked to seemed to think the salmon would spread through the lake and return in a few years to spawn in Jones Fork. I never heard of one being caught.

My suspicion is that flatheads and maybe some big smallies got fat on them.
