Great looking Hybrids! How does one go about catching them? Are they typically caught in the upper or lower ends of lake?

Two words: Flats & Slug Go's. Lower end has been best for me.

Bring a change of underwear if you go! If one hits you will surely mess yourself LOL!!! That is a fish with one bad attitude

I figured they would have already been out with the temps in the low to mid 60s a couple of weeks ago. I haven't fished for them yet. This is normally the only time of year I fish for them, because I love the topwater bite! I guess it's time for me to rig the super spook and sluggos. :)

Dear Gookfishing,

Please stop posting pictures of hybrids. Continuing to do so will lead to screaming, yelling, name-calling and eventually crying when i try to convince my wife to let me put the honey-do list on temporary suspension. I am sure the guilt of reducing a grown man to a screaming, yelling, name-calling and eventually crying mess when the wife says no would weigh heavily on your mind, so i am really trying to save you the mental stress. Thanks

Chris

Sorry Tx. I don't feel your pain. LOL

I told mine a week ago she is not going to see me much for the next month. Between the hybrids and turkeys this is the best month of the year. I even bought her a new lawn mower ;) so she can get it started without me.

Have you tagged any birds yet? I hunt around Coffee county and got one on opening day that had almost a 7 inch beard and no spurs.I guess that would be a jake. He was darn good on the table! A coyote got one of my birds this morning. The ground looked like a crime scene.

Thats a nice one?On opening day I shot mine the first hour of daylight.I wanted to get that first one of the season under my belt. Now I'm waiting for one like you got.I'm glad I did cause everytime I've hunted since then I've seen coyotes and other hunters.Something has messed up the hunt.
