Went to D.H. on friday, day started crazy with a big doe runnin in to the side of my dually on the way there. Minor damage only so we went on to lake. water temp of 47.2 all day and windy. trolled most of day with plenty of fish at the 30 to 45 ft range. had two fish on but none landed. Very disapointing but still a great day on DH. Always boom or bust at DH for me.

It sounds like you got at least half of the Tennessee surf and turf.... Better luck next time.

When you say trolled, do you mean with shinners?

No we had two driggers ,couple jet divers ,and two side planers ,man we trolled the tackle box and it still didnt help, marked a lot of fish at the 45 ft range and pods of bait nearly all day but still no luck.

How do they do with the roads up in DH area when it snows ??

They are kind of touch and go. Horse Creek usually has salt at the ramp in a trash can. I keep my boat in a slip so no hauling for me. Were you using spoons or plugs ?

Spoons and plugs hd the fish on 6" stick-bait,had some good live bait but it got so windy couldn't really stay on the fish. I'm really wanting to catch a few walleye but Smallmouth and trout are all we have caught trolling.

good deal, the 'eyes can be tough. Did you troll the creeks or the main lake ?

Main lake mostly,we were marking a lot of bait and fish and figured they would turn on eventually. Guess we had the blinders on as the fish that bit were singles near the bottom opposed to suspended fish. Looking back we should have run into some creeks and changed it up a bit more. We had a lot of luck on a november trip with the fish showing up almost exactly the same geographically and on the electronics.
