My brother has another high school tournament next weekend in Guntersville. Deezltek and myself are going to leave Friday morning, drive down and see if we can't catch a boat load of giants and also help my brother locate some fish. He won't be able to prefish or look at the lake till the morning of the tournament. Hard to figure them out that quick. So, if any of you guys have been on gville lately send me a message with some details or post them here please. We need some help and he needs some very valuable points to get him into the Alabama High School fishing "Classic". Thanks in advance

I've not been in a couple years but I have locations that have produced year in and year out if you want to check those out.

Almost every major trny there is won in Browns creek, Spring creek, Honey Comb, or North Sauty(Goose Pond).

I've been looking at maps and goose pond area looks promising. Isn't spring creek where Randy Howell won the classic a few years ago?

I've got a tourney there at the end of April. We have had a warmer winter than normal. N. Sauty and S. Sauty have been good to me in the past. I would be throwing rattletrap's, Super flukes , or square bills if I were going today.

That's what I'm reading. Thanks. Seems like traps are always hot on that lake.

Looks like a bunch of rain is going to be moving through late Friday and Saturday. So say a little prayer for me that it passes and doesn't run me off the water!!!

I am terrible at names of creeks but it you put in 8270 Scottsboro Highway there is rip rap all along the hwy. we do well there and the flats in that creek.

👍🏼 thanks. We will be staying in Scottsboro so I'll look on a map and see what you're talking about. Was going to stay down around the state park but the High School tournament is going to have 250 boats in it and I don't want to deal with that traffic or wait to get in the water till they are all gone.

It is super tough out here. Wind is blowing at Mach 3!! We've had some missed opportunities so far. Lost 2 decent fish and only caught one 14 incher

No big fish caught, but we had a blast. Friday we ended up putting together a pattern and it worked fairly well. Bass were in 7' or less of water, and you had to fish slow. We found a school of monster white bass and it was a massive one. We fished it for about 2.5 hrs and put 200 of them in the boat.

Saturday same thing. But, I pulled out a Texas rigged senko and ended up like catching 20-25 bass in the last two hours. We looked for the white bass again, found a few scattered here and there. Or it would be a small school of them. But it was fun.

All in all, we had a blast, I learned that I HATE floating eel grass and if it shows up in old hickory I'll set it on fire!! 😂😂
