Went Friday after cold snap and managed 8 to measure. One 14 1/2 inches and several over 13. Many, many smaller ones where there were none before cold snap.
Today they were back, although still many small. Twenty, all female, almost completely spawned out. Found them in 16' ft water around structure. Actually, bamboo I staged earlier this spring. Used CM Percy 1/6 oz jig head. http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160509/efb4543810beec8a8990562e9f89934e.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160509/6db4f9f22a46b8598dd09a62eb17ec8f.jpg

Nice work on the setup and the catching! I got lucky and found them yesterday on PP while trying to locate the hybrid. Funny thing is the hybrid were gone from there and big crappie had moved in. Caught the first two on a 5 inch swim bait and they had completely taken it. When I caught the first I thought that must be a fluke and then I hooked the second one a couple minutes latter. Needless to say I dropped anchor. Only caught 14 total but the smallest was 12 inches and the biggest right at 15! Wish I'd of found them an earlier...

The size of the crappie on JPP has impressed this year. Not as good as some lakes but better than previous years.
