View Full Version : Interesting day on the Caney today.

Fished the Caney today and had a great time plus caught some very nice trout,plus brim and skip jack.
Usually when I fish the Caney and catch Browns I usually only catch a couple. Well today I caught 24 browns and 6 were very nice with a lots of fight.
The numbers were not that great,but it was so good to be on the river.

I was planning on bass fishing today but changed my mind after all this rain and having seen your post. My results were pretty well in line with yours. Landed 34 trout in just a few hours and caught way more Browns than I normally do. Didn't catch any true big fish but of those 34, probably 20 were 12" or bigger. Nice day to be on the river too. Water is still a little funky but not many folks out.

Reading these reports is like reading about you folks finding a vein of gold. I want to go so bad I can taste it. One more week and I will be there. I'll be the one slobbering and mumbling like a madman as I'm reeling them in. Yes, I am addicted to fishing... you wanna fight about it?

X2, I haven't been in 5 weeks myself. Putting the house on the market this week and knocking the old punch list out and seen where they dropped generation and turned the sluice off and I got choked up myself...
