Yeah, the guys is from L.A. and he contacted me wanting to fish sometime. So I took him up on it. It was his first time ever fishing from a kayak. He had an absolute brute on just before this one, but his plastic lip grips wouldn't open far enough to make it around the done the infamous line grab and the fish did a headshake and SNAP. The one pictured is 23#, and the one he lost boatside was at least 30#. We ended up with several, most in the 23" range.

I truly enjoy catching fish, but one thing I do enjoy more is taking someone out and watching them catch fish. It makes my heart smile. The look on someones face when they hook into a fish and it decides just to swim the other way and they can't do much but hang on is priceless.

The bigger fish last night needed to be revived, so please take your time and handle the fish carefully. Spend a few minutes with your fish in the water and keep it moving side to side, don't let go of the fish until it swims away freely and forcefully on its own. I had to use both hands because I couldn't grip with one hand around the base of the tail, that's when you know you have a good fish.

Yeah, but where I have them stored I cannot get to from the work computer, so I'll have to do that at home.

Great looking fish! Can't imagine how much fun that would be out of a yak!
