Started at around 47 degrees. As we puddled down I-40 E and entered the Caney Fork watershed, we were met with huge snakes of fog, mostly hugging the river. I told my friend, let's hope this fog holds till 9 or 10AM. If it does, we will slaughter them.

While we did not catch any monsters, in the heavy fog we caught a ton of nice fish and a bonus walleye. We had four doubles and one triple. The picture of me as lunatic with two rods I was fighting two fish: one 17 inch bow and an 18 inch brown.
The brooks came early and ended early. This year's brooks are huge compared to past years.

At around 9:15 God said that's enough boys and the fog lifted and the bite stopped.

How I love this wonderful state and its amazing fisheries.

Good luck to you all.

Glad you guys had a great day catchin! Don't you wish you could just stop time when that 6am-8am bite is on...
Was there a lot of crowds today, went up to CumminsFalls today and seen a few folks as we crossed the river.

Yeah the bite comes in waves but when it is on it is like shangri-la.
The bite has been transitioning week to week. That makes it fun too. Those subtle changes which drive us to madness.... and drive us to the water each and every weekend to do it all over again.
